Attorney Nepal — Answering The Two Questions Firms Refuse To Answer
The Problem
Two questions decide whether a legal enquiry gets sent: what will this cost, and who exactly will handle it. Almost every firm site refuses both — fees are “discussed on consultation” and the team is “our experienced lawyers”.
The consequence is an empty contact form. Someone who cannot estimate the cost within an order of magnitude does not send a speculative email to find out; they close the tab and try the next result. For international clients and startups — who are comparing Nepal against other jurisdictions, not just this firm against another — an unanswerable cost question stops the whole evaluation.
What We Built
An FAQ that answers the awkward questions in public: what a lawyer costs, what company registration involves, what the minimum foreign investment is, and how business visas work.
And four named attorneys with real profiles rather than an anonymous team block, so a client knows who they are instructing. Around that, ten practice areas from FDI and arbitration through energy and infrastructure to tax and FinTech, non-resident Nepali services as its own track, and contact by phone, WhatsApp, Viber and email — which is what overseas clients actually use.
The Decision That Shaped It
Publishing indicative costs loses the firm some negotiating room and wins it the enquiries that never used to arrive. It is the same trade as naming the attorneys: both give up a little flexibility in exchange for being the firm a stranger can actually evaluate, which is the only way to compete for a client who has never been to Nepal.
