Chandragadhi Lawyers Associate — Corporate Work Without The Trip To Kathmandu
The Problem
Nepal’s commercial legal capacity is concentrated in Kathmandu. A business in Jhapa with a tax assessment, an insurance dispute or a corporate restructuring has two poor options: instruct a Kathmandu firm that will charge for travel and be unfamiliar with the local offices, or use whoever is nearest regardless of whether they do that kind of work.
The second problem is what happens after instruction. In a general practice a client is often handed to whoever is free, and the person who took the case is not the person who explains it. For a business matter that runs for months, that is the complaint that ends the relationship.
What We Built
A site that claims specific commercial competence in the east rather than general competence anywhere: business and corporate law, insurance, tax and civil practice, each with its own page, plus documentation work as a named service.
The firm’s own terms — honesty, clear communication and direct interaction — are given real estate rather than being left in an About page, because for a client choosing between a distant specialist and a local generalist, “you will deal with the lawyer” is the differentiator.
The Decision That Shaped It
Direct interaction is treated as a service promise, not a value. Values pages are ignored and rightly so. Stated as a commitment about who the client will actually speak to, the same words answer a real fear — being passed to a junior after the fee is agreed — and become a reason to instruct.
