What makes a share card work
A link with no og:image shares as a bare row of text. That single tag is the difference between a post people click and a post they scroll past, and it is the tag most often either missing or set to a relative path that every platform ignores.
Use 1200×630 pixels, under 5 MB, PNG or JPEG, at an absolute https:// URL. Below 600×315 the platforms drop to a small square thumbnail instead of the large card. Add twitter:card set to summary_large_image or X will show the small version regardless of how good your image is.
Platforms cache what they scrape, often for days. This tool reads the page live, so a difference between what you see here and what Facebook shows means their copy is stale — re-scrape the URL in Facebook's Sharing Debugger or LinkedIn's Post Inspector.
